Born under the harsh Australian sun, Ember was created out of a simple belief—sun safety shouldn’t mean sacrificing your look.

Like so many Aussies, I grew up under a sky that never took a day off. Sunburns were a given, and your options for sun-safe clothing either made you look like you were about to go on a fishing trip or tackle an ultra-marathon. Not the sort of thing I wanted to wear everyday. I knew there had to be a better way—so I decided to create it.
